Eyewear: Tulip
$88.00
Circa 60s-70s. Zyl Acetate. Hand-made in France.
L. Evard frames are made by TWE (Trans-World Eyewear).
Today, their catalogue is either coveted or regarded a good find because the 40-year loot (old dead stock & thus new/unworn) has since been scattered around the world into the hands of vintage traders and collectors. Some models are considered ‘rare’ where the particular frame is uniquely shaped and very few.
This TULIP frame
is in pearly Blue-Brown. The shape suggests a tone-down version of the ‘Cat Eye’ styles common in the 60s and 70s.
Its upper body is thicker than its lower body, but the lens shape is a regular oval.
The pearly gradient color is distinctively beautiful.
Great condition. Little to no scratches in the plastic’s surface.
New Old Stock; never worn.
Lenses are not included.
